Mrs. Sushma Vats and (Late) Mr. Ram Mehar Vats

‘Sushram’, the NGOs name, has its foundations, blessings and derives  inspiration from the founder’s parents – Sushma (meaning: Sparkling inner beauty) and Rem Mehar (meaning: blessed by god/ram).

 The word ‘Sushram’ is derived from the word ‘Su’ which implies ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Shram’, which means ‘Labour’. The meaning of the name ‘Sushram’ embodies everything we do – ‘beautiful work’.

Sh. Ram Mehar ji Vats (1946 – 2006) was the innovative spirit behind Sushram.org. An engineer by profession, he was constantly looking for opportunities to help people through innovative and fearless means. His guidance is with us today, even though he is physically not with us.

 Mrs Sushma Vats ji is a kind soul who resides in Melbourne, Australia and is a significant funder of Sushram.org. She is known for her gentle nature, kindness and helping those in need for decades whether in India or in Australia.
